Yzerfontein

Yzerfontein offers unspoilt coastline with both rocky and sandy beaches including the famous sixteen mile beach which stretches all the way to Postberg Nature Reserve within the West Coast National Park.

Yzerfontein is known for its natural beauty, vast stretches of beach and tranquillity. The small craft harbour is an anglers dream, well known for its snoek and crayfish.

Yzerfontein’s sites of historical interest include the old Fish House (now the offices of the local tourism authority) and the lime kilns that were once used to produce quicklime for building.
